In a drawing class I took many years ago, I decided to make an installation piece using toast as my medium.
I scraped different doodle designs on each one using a paperclip. Yeah some of the toast got burnt, but I still used them so I wouldn’t be wasteful.
The last step was to arrange them on the wall above the sink in the kitchen. This was the test toast:
To get them to stick, I put double-sided mounting tape on rectangular pieces of cardboard that I hot glued to the backs of each one.
And there you go – the finished piece. I forgot if my roommate said anything about it, but it wasn’t up there for long.
