Seven years ago, a goat-like monster known as Capricorn massacred thirty students at Strainburg University. One of the survivors, graduate student Lucy Ferris, vows to hunt this monster down. With the help of her informant, she finds an old broken house that acts as Capricorn’s lair, but instead of a monster, she meets someone who will change her life forever.
As Jean and Lucy settle in their new life living with Buster, Vogler’s first attempt at an artificial metamorph escapes. Jean and Lucy must find the beast before it goes on a rampage in the city and slaughters countless innocents.
Buster and Lucy encounter a grotesque man-like monster, the latest of Vogler’s artificial metamorph experiments. However, this monster still has the mind of a human, and he is desperate to go home to his family.
Fed up with his unsuccessful metamorph creations, Vogler hires two mercenaries to find and recapture Jean for experimentation. Can Jean manage fend off this deadly pair during the day without Capricorn’s power?
An old photo leads to the location of Jean’s adoptive parents. Jean and Lucy travel to their house, hoping to find answers about the nature of Jean’s transformation.
The discovery of two bodies in Riverton Park has Jean and the others pointing their fingers at another of Vogler’s experiments. However, they’ll soon discover that Vogler’s not the only monster in town.
Buster must confront his feelings for Lucy when a bonus from work gives him the opportunity to take her out on a date to an expensive restaurant. However, Buster’s plans get complicated when Jean is inadvertently invited on the date as well. Buster’s only hope lies in a mysterious woman at a clothes store who has indispensable knowledge about relationships.
Jean makes contact with his biological parents’ doctor, a man who claims to have the cure to the curse of Capricorn. Yet the doctor’s constant furrowed and sweaty brow hides a terrible secret that could jeopardize everything.
Buster’s attempt at fame and fortune backfires when his article about Capricorn gets published, and the entire city learns that Jean is Capricorn…including Vogler.
