I just noticed that Tiffany’s magazine in the opening credits is “Parochial”. That’s a nice touch.
I giggled out loud several times in this episode. Worm-guy was a nice take on an anime trope.
Many surprises in this episode. The first two matches were not fights at all! Then, when Liz got in the ring, she was actionless until she…licked up her nose-blood. Then she turned into a dynamo. What’s up with that? Then…Ruth! She got to the auditorium (or wherever they are) right when everything was over! Except that there was a pregnant exchange, so to call it, between Ruth and Robert Goodfellow. Just who or what is this Ruth? And what was with the smooches?
Karl has some facial hair. Is it an accident? A conscious fashion choice? A sign that he has sunk deeper into depression? Or what?
