Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Episode 33: The Yolk’s on You!

December 11, 2018 Leave a Comment

The Rangers fight a monster that just wants to eat a couple eggs for lunch.

Bulk, Caplan, and Skull

Backstage

Episode Summary

At the Youth Center, everyone gets ready for a talent show of sorts. Principal Caplan’s here, so it must be a school sanctioned event; much like Bulk and Skull food gags, the show never misses a chance for Caplan to lose his toupée.

Fang

Finster unleashes a new monster for Rita’s birthday named Fang, who gets pissed when Squatt and Baboo eat his Gooney bird eggs: “You know how hard it is to find these? You can’t just walk into a store and buy these, you know!”

Zack, Kimberly, and Jason

The Rangers learn about Fang

Tommy runs off to get his black belt for the talent show, but gets captured by Putties…for about five seconds, then rejoins the other Rangers as they fight Fang.

Tommy is the Putties’ prisoner (but not for long)

I kinda tune out around here during the Megazord fight, but it’s safe to say the Rangers win and Fang is killed.

Bulk and Skull playing electric guitars

Skull and Bulk play a lovely song

Back to the talent show, Jason and Tommy do a martial arts routine, then Bulk and Skull give a music performance. They’re actually pretty good, so why’s everyone making fun of them? At least Kimberly gives them a slow clap at the end.

Thoughts

As always, Bulk and Skull – especially Skull – kill it with their awesome fashion, and I’m not even joking. I especially love Skull’s guitar strap made out of crime scene tape. Fang sounds like Peter Lorre for some reason, but gets very annoying because 80% of what he says is “Gooney bird eggs.” I felt sorry for him, though, because he was an innocent victim. All he wanted was to eat his eggs and the Rangers killed him in cold blood.
