Vegeta’s flashback

Thoughts

Here we go. This is it – Super‘s first great episode. The story takes a page from a typical sitcom plot, like the boss coming over for dinner story, with the main character in a constant state of panic, hoping nothing goes wrong. But because it uses Dragon Ball characters, especially the usually intense Vegeta, it feels fresh.

Vegeta doesn’t sing karaoke as he does in Battle of Gods, but there are still plenty of funny moments of him acting comically out of character, and the other characters being oblivious to his struggles. The most enjoyable episode in this arc.
